Prom Date

Saturday was Prom at BVHS!  As much as Austin doesn't like to get dressed up, he looked awesome in his tux!  And his girlfriend Ellen was beautiful!  WOW  They had a good time.  Apparently some of the kids were doing some naughty dancing and were asked to leave! (not Austin & Ellen) So they also had some excitement along with the evening.  Remembering my prom some 30 years ago...........We did wear formal dresses but the guys didn't wear tuxes.  Maybe that was because we were a very small town and would have had to drive about 75 miles to the nearest rental shop.  We still looked good!  I remember my date Michael.................we didn't have an after prom per-say.  We did go to the lake and party with all our friends, at night, where drinking was involved, and driving was involved, OK we were stupid!  None the less it was fun!  I remember my brother Kevin teaching me how to dance.  I wonder if he remembers it.  He had a accident about a year and a half ago and had a head injury.  I hope he does remember, that is one of the fondest memories I have with him.  Of course him chasing me around the yard with a snake was not a good memory and he did that more often than not! That was why I could run really fast.  These days he might just catch me and then I would just have a heart attack and die.  Really.  Well I need to go!
